I began painting with help from my grandmother as a child. I painted during my teens and into my twenties. I worked in many styles; worked in oils, watercolors and pastels. Late in life after an extended stay in Hong Kong the work became more a meditation and focused on the relationships of color, edges, shapes and how colors resonate.
I work daily and repeat the same themes. My concern is for a painting to meet the viewer in the center, to speak quietly from the heart.
